Blueberries are so popular in smoothies because they pack a punch of nutrients. They have antioxidant, antifungal/antiviral, anti-inflammatory properties. They are brain-food, boosting focus and memory and slowing cognitive decline. They are great for the digestive tract as they are full of good bacteria as well as having soluble and insoluble fiber. Sounds like a winning formula to me!
