A green smoothie that is not green is very welcome to many folks who are put off by the color. Mud colored smoothies are even worse, so it was good to see there were enough blueberries in this one to keep a ‘healthy’ color, lol!

Spinach is full of antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene. Plus it has vitamin A, K, iron, folate, manganese, zinc, and selenium.
Spinach also has two carotenoids, lutein and zeaxanthin. These antioxidants aid in vision and help prevent age-related macular degeneration.

Recipe: Blueberry Mango Green Smoothie
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 1 cup baby Spinach
- 1 cup Mango chunks
- ½ cup Blueberries
- ¼ cup 0% plain Greek Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Flax seeds, ground
- 1 small Banana
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Ice
Blend until smooth. Enjoy.
