Well, every day, our cells fight against free radicals – unstable oxygen molecules that are a normal byproduct of metabolism. Recipe: Blueberry Ginger Immune-Boosting Smoothie
Serves 2; approx 167 cals each
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen Blueberries
- 1 cup frozen Mango
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh Ginger (or ¼ teaspoon ground)
- 1 tablespoon peeled and chopped Turmeric root (or 1 teaspoon ground)
- 2 teaspoons Orange Zest
- 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
- pinch of Black Pepper, to help absorption of turmeric
- 1 ½ cups unsweetened Almond Milk
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
