Along with frozen berries – did you know frozen berries can last fine for ages – this combo results a wonderful taste and nice gritty texture. And the berries were still perfect from last year!
BTW, its fine, instead of the flax, to use chia seeds in this smoothie. Not so gritty, but will provide protein & bulk too…

Recipe: Blueberry Flax Superfood Smoothie
Ingredients: (Serves 1)
- 1 cup blueberries, frozen
- 1 Tablespoon flax seed, ground
- Handful of spinach
- ¼ cup full-fat Greek yogurt, I used vanilla
- 1 cup coconut milk or any kind of milk
Preparation:
- Place all ingredients in a blender or magic bullet.
- Mix until smooth.
Tip: My blueberries were on the sweeter side, but if yours are a bit too tart, just add a little honey.
Nutrition info: 238 calories | 32g carbs | 12g fat | 4g protein | 22g sugar
