Smoothies can easily fit into any food plan, diet, regimen – whatever you want to call it. You fill them with whatever you want, although we do recommend using healthy, nutritious foods to get the best from them, otherwise they become an occasional treat rather than a healthy food option. This recipe from Lexi at LexisCleanKitchen is full of Vitamin C and protein to set you up for a busy day.
Lexi loves to make cakes but also says …
I balance those ‘occasion’ days with healthy-packed nutritious meals. Smoothies are often my go-to because they are quick, on-the-go, and completely customizable.
