[Recipe] Banana Berry Protein Smoothie

 

I may have come late to the smoothie party but when I come across delicious recipes like this one, I’m really glad I found it! A scrumptiously tasty blend of sweet-sharp berries, creamy banana, dairy (or vegan, if you wish) and non-dairy protein, and fiber make a healthy breakfast that will keep me going till lunch. Plus the added greens give me a nutrient boost I might otherwise ignore – yet I can ignore them as I don’t notice them in my smoothies.

I try and start all my mornings with a smoothie. They are a perfect quick, easy and healthier way to start my day – by getting my metabolism going without too many calories. I try and pack my smoothies full of lots of healthy goodness, that will add lots of vitamins and minerals to my diet.

Recipe: Banana Berry Protein Smoothie

Serves 3

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup your Milk of choice
  • 1 5.3oz Vanilla Yogurt
  • 1 cup Blueberries, frozen
  • 1 cup Raspberries, frozen
  • 1 cup Strawberries, frozen
  • 1 ripe Banana (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 cup fresh Spinach
  • 2-3 TBS Chia seeds

Blend until smooth and enjoy.
