I’m often attracted to things by their color. I thought this smoothie looked such a great, rich color. Then I saw it was made with red cabbage – yes, I did say red cabbage! – and I thought, NO way! But it’s amazing how, with the addition of some fruit, you lose that cabbage flavor. So don’t let the thought of it put you off, it’s delicious.
Elle Penner, from According to Elle, says …
The most shocking thing about this smoothie, besides the gorgeous, purple color? How undetectable the cabbage is … The hubs was a bit skeptical but quickly gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up after taking his first sip.
It’s also packed with antioxidants and other substances that are good for your digestive tract.
